BOCA RATON, Fla. — UTSA held a two-point advantage at the half but was outscored in the third quarter and Florida Atlantic pulled away for a 64-51 victory on Saturday afternoon at FAU Arena.
The Roadrunners, who saw only five players’ score, was paced by Mathilde Hergott’s season-high 20 points. Hergott went 7-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-11 from behind the arc. Meanwhile, Akunna Elonu had another solid performance, as she set a career high with 19 rebounds and netted 13 points for her first double-double of the season. Crystal Chidomere chipped in with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting and added three boards, two assists and a steal.
