SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head baseball coach Jason Marshall announced Friday that Reid Ryan, the president of business operations for the Houston Astros, will be the keynote speaker for his program's annual First Pitch Banquet, which is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, at the H-E-B University Center Ballroom on the Main Campus.
Ryan, the eldest son of the legendary Nolan Ryan, was introduced as the president of business operations for the Houston Astros in 2013. Ryan previously was the president and CEO of Ryan-Sanders Baseball, Inc., and the mastermind behind the success of two area minor league franchises, the Triple-A Round Rock Express and the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks.
