New UTSA coach Steven Henson signed 6-foot-7 forward Mitar Stanojevic, the school announced on Monday afternoon.
Stanojevic, who averaged 18 points and seven rebounds for Irving Creating Young Minds Academy last season, also held offers from Drake and Southern Illinois. The forward signed a few days after Bishop Gorman guard Byron Frohnen inked with the rebuilding Roadrunners.
“The coaching staff and I are very pleased to welcome a great student-athlete and person like Mitar,” Henson said in a press release. “He’s a highly focused young man and someone who is very disciplined both on and off the court.
