New UTSA men’s basketball coach Steve Henson signed his first high school prospect on Friday morning.

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman guard Byron Frohnen, a 6-foot-5 senior, signed his national letter of intent to play for the Roadrunners next season. Frohnen was one of the key members of the Nevada prep powerhouse that won a state title, along with top 2017 recruit Charles O’Bannon and All-American Zach Collins (signed with Gonzaga).

Once Henson took over for former UTSA coach Brooks Thompson, he recruited Frohnen.
