DALLAS — For the third time this season, UTSA sophomore Sincere McCormick has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
McCormick picked up the honor for his performance in the Roadrunners' 23-20 road win over Southern Miss on Nov. 21, their first victory in Hattiesburg in three visits. The Converse Judson High School product rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries, breaking the school's single-season rushing yardage record and matching the single-season rushing TDs standard in the process.
McCormick broke loose for a 69-yard TD dash on the opening drive of the third quarter that gave UTSA the lead and pushed him over the 1,000-yard mark this season and the 2,000-yard barrier for his career.
