SAN ANTONIO — Sigrid Kleive broke the school record in the women's javelin throw to highlight Friday action for the Roadrunners at the UTSA Invitational at Park West Athletics Complex.
Kleive's record-setting performance headlined a solid day for the UTSA throwers, who logged a total of eight top-eight finishes, five by the women.
Making her outdoor debut for the Roadrunners, Kleive unleashed a mark of 45.51 meters (149-4) on her second throw of the evening to secure second place and beat the previous UTSA record of 44.87m (147-2) established by Angel Sifuentes in 2016.
