Gruenwald earned a second-place finish in the 'B' section of the women's long jump on a windy afternoon on the UT campus. The 2021 Conference USA Indoor champion touched the sand at a distance of 6.19 meters (20-3.75) despite a 2.8 meters-per-second headwind on her fourth attempt of the day to briefly take the lead before Texas Tech's Virginia Kerley measured 6.20m (20-4.25) on her sixth and final trip down the runway for the narrow win by one centimeter.
