ST. GEORGE, Utah — Julie Houston is tied for third place and the UTSA women’s golf team is in a tie for fourth after the first day of the BYU Entrada, which go underway on Monday at Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Course (par 72/6,168 yards).
Houston is in a tie with Taylor Viquelia of Southern Utah at 2-over-par 146, four shots off the pace set by Lea Garner of the host Cougars after the first two rounds. Houston carded an even-par 72 in the opening 18 that featured four of her team-high seven birdies. The freshman from Allen posted a 74 that included an eagle on the par-five first in the afternoon.
