NEW BRAUNFELS — Julie Houston holds the individual lead and UTSA is in third place after the first two rounds of the All There August Challenge, which is being held at Landa Park Golf Course (par 71/5,885 yards).
Houston, who is playing as an individual, fired a pair of 2-under-par 69s and holds a three-shot advantage at 4-under 138 ahead of Sarah Black of Sam Houston State (71-70—141) with 18 holes remaining. The freshman from Allen posted three birdies against one bogey in her opening round and then wrote down four birdies in the afternoon en route to the best 36-hole tally of her debut season.
