KYLE, Texas — Hannah Holzmann and Nicole Poilivchak both are currently in the top 10 individuals and the UTSA women's golf team is in fifth place after the first day of the Texas State Invitational, which teed off Monday at Plum Creek Golf Course (par 72/6,249 yards).
With scores still unofficial, Holzmann is in a three-way tie for seventh at even par and Polivchak is part of a six-way share of 10th at 1-over par with play suspended approximately halfway through the second of three rounds due to darkness.
That duo paced the Roadrunners in the opening round, as each shot a 2-under 70 to help UTSA post a 3-over 291 for the first round.
