BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — No. 12 seed Florida Atlantic stretched a four-point halftime lead to double digits with a 13-2 run early in the second half and register an 82-58 victory over 13th-seeded UTSA in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament on Tuesday at Bartow Arena.
J.R. Harris led the Roadrunners (5-27), who saw their season come to an end, with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from behind the arc. Ryan Bowie added 15 points and Phillip Jones registered his fourth-career double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
