SAN ANTONIO – Connor Aube's eighth-inning homer broke the tie game and lifted UT Arlington to a 2-1 win over UTSA baseball in the nightcap of a Saturday doubleheader, on Saturday afternoon at Roadrunner Field.
UTSA (4-1) couldn't complete the doubleheader sweep of UTA (5-4), as the Roadrunner won the first two games in the series, 13-1 on Friday night and 3-0 in the doubleheader opener on Saturday.
The Roadrunners pitching staff worked 20.1 consecutive shutout innings after allowing a first-inning run on Friday night, lasting until UTA evened the game with a tally in the sixth inning.
