SAN ANTONIO — Karl Craigie pitched a six-hit, complete-game shutout, and the UTSA Roadrunners beat the Old Dominion Monarchs 3-0 Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia.
Craigie walked one and and struck out five as UTSA (13-21, 4-10) snapped a three-game losing streak and evened the series against Old Dominion (24-11, 7-7) at one win apiece.
The teams meet again Sunday in Virginia in the last game of the Conference USA baseball series.
UTSA scored in the third on Matt Hilston’s RBI triple and added two more in the ninth on a two-RBI double by Tyler Straub.
Craigie is in his first season at UTSA out of Ranger College.
