SAN ANTONIO — Maia Campbell broke her own school record while registering a pair of top-three finishes and Sigrid Kleive won the javelin to highlight Friday action for the UTSA track & field teams at the Roadrunner Invitational at Park West Athletics Complex.
One week after breaking an eight-year-old UTSA outdoor record in the shot put, Campbell bettered her own standard with a second-place mark of 15.95 meters (52-4). The senior from Converse Judson High School posted a 15.14m measurement on her first attempt to secure a spot in the final, where she unleashed the school-record effort on her fifth turn in the ring.
