EUGENE, Ore. —UTSA senior Maia Campbell closed out her collegiate career by earning honorable mention All-America honors in the women's shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday evening at Hayward Field.
Campbell finished 22nd in the national final with a mark of 15.99 meters (52-5.5) to become the first female Roadrunner to earn All-America recognition in a throwing event. The Converse Judson High School product now is the 13th All-American for the women's program and her performance bumps the number of certificates claimed to 25 overall and 16 outdoors.
