Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a right knee injury and exited with 1:13 remaining in the first quarter of Friday night's game against the Miami Heat.
The Bucks announced early in the second quarter that he would not return to the game.
Antetokounmpo was hurt when he knocked knees with a Heat player, the team said. After working in the post, Antetokounmpo passed the ball and quickly started motioning toward the bench. Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer called a rare mid-possession timeout with six seconds remaining on the shot clock to replace a hindered Antetokounmpo, who headed straight to the locker room.
