SAN ANTONIO — Reid Ryan, the president of business operations for the Houston Astros, will be the keynote speaker for UTSA’s annual First Pitch Banquet.
The banquet is set for Feb. 6 at the H-E-B University Center Ballroom on the Main Campus.
Ryan, the eldest son of legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan, became president of business operations for the Astros in 2013.
He previously was president and CEO of Ryan-Sanders Baseball, Inc., and was the mastermind behind the success of two area minor league franchises, the Triple-A Round Rock Express and the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks.
