SAN ANTONIO — Speculation continues to swirl in UTSA’s search for a basketball coach.
The names of assistant coaches Steve Henson of Oklahoma, Steve Lutz (Creighton) and Chris Ogden (Tennessee) have emerged — or, re-emerged — recently, as UTSA continues to survey the possibilities to fill the vacancy left when Brooks Thompson was fired two weeks ago.
Other potential candidates in the mix apparently are assistants Chris Crutchfield (also of Oklahoma) and Kyle Keller (Texas A&M), with other possibilities being David Cason (Texas) and Alvin “Pooh” Williamson (Texas Tech).
Reportedly, Henson has talked to at least one colleague about joining his staff at UTSA if he gets the job, a source said.
