SAN ANTONIO — Ty Anderson collected UTSA's third gold medal of the weekend on Saturday and the Roadrunners finished fourth in the team standings at the inagural Ricardo Romo Invitational, which was contested the past three days at Park West Athletics Complex.
Anderson, the 2015 Conference USA Champion, cleared a career-best 7-0 ½ (2.15m) in topping the field of 12 high jumpers. The performance moved him into second place on the program's all-time performers chart and he moved into the league lead with the nation's seventh-best mark of the young season. It also was the third victory of his two-year career.
