The UTEP women’s basketball team fell short for the second time already this season losing to Texas Southern 89-68 on Sunday, Nov.13 at the Don Haskins Center. Despite senior Sparkle Taylor leading the team in scoring and rebounding with 12 points and 13 rebounds, the Miners could not come through with the win.
The Miners are having a rocking start early after losing the first two games of the season. Also, senior Jenzel Nash, whom is the team’s leading scorer, did not playing for the second game.
The Miners hoped to redeem themselves with this home game against Texas Southern, but were shut down throughout the game.
