The UTEP women’s basketball team led 52-17 at halftime lead and never looked back on route to a 99-40 exhibition win against Division III Sul Ross State at the Don Haskins Center on Sunday afternoon.
Senior Tamara Seda dominated the game earning a double-double (23 points, 15 rebounds) with four blocks and four steals. Sophomore Katarina Zec (23 points, nine boards) and junior Najala Howell (18 points, seven rebounds) also had big days.
The Miners shot 50 percent (32-64) from the floor, 45.5 percent (10-22) from behind-the-arc and 86.2 percent (25-29) at the charity stripe.
It was a different story for the visiting Lady Lobos, who turned over the basketball 22 times and were held to 25.
