The 1-10 UTEP football team is at the point in the season where it is playing for improvement, to make strides from one week to the next.
So here is progress: A week after falling behind 14-0 against Middle Tennessee by the 9:06 mark of the first quarter, they only fell behind Western Kentucky 13-0 by the 8:27 mark of the first quarter.
Unfortunately, in a 40-16 loss to the now 2-9 Hilltoppers, the Miners struggled to keep up with such a torrid pace of improvement.
