In the aftermath of a 54-13 loss to Boise State on Friday night where UTEP was not ready for prime time, there is one big comfort going forward.
The Miners have the 2-1 record they absolutely had to have heading into their first bye week and now they have a week off to heal their wounds, mental and physical.
The expected result
This wasn’t said coming in, but while a loss in one of the first two layups was unthinkable, anything significantly better than what unfolded Friday on the blue turf would have been a bonus.
