The young UTEP men's basketball team has figured out how to hang around in road games and extend them into the stretch run.
They are still trying to figure out the end game.
The Miners fell to 0-9 away from home this season, as Western Kentucky pulled away late with a game-closing 13-2 run that sealed a 76-59 victory.
The root problem was familiar: UTEP shot 36 percent from the field and 26 percent from 3-point range and was never able to get going on offense.
"We had opportunities in the second half," UTEP coach Rodney Terry said.
