No matter how it looked for significant stretches of Saturday's game with first-place Southern Miss, breaking a four-game losing streak wasn't going to be easy for the UTEP women's basketball team.
That made the 86-79 overtime victory against Southern Miss even more satisfying.
The Miners absorbed every charge the Golden Eagles threw at them - that was a bunch - and finally found a way through in a typically wild UTEP-Southern Miss slugfest.
