Everyone could have forgotten about Quardraiz Wadley.
UTEP's sixth-year senior running back has been dealt too many setbacks, faced too many curves, seen too much losing to create expectations for this Friday's regular-season finalé at UAB.
His career began with so much promise in 2016 as Aaron Jones' backup, then devolved into a series of injuries. Wadley played four games in an injury-riddled 2017 where UTEP went winless, showed how much he could accomplish in a healthy 2018 for the one-win Miners, missed 2019 to injury (UTEP won one game that year) and opted out after another injury a quarter into the 2020 season opener.
