Carolyne Chepkosgei's resume is long, it checks many boxes, and it identifies the UTEP middle distance runner as the veteran senior she is.
She's won a conference championship, she's a nine-time all-conference performer and is on the academic honor roll.
What the native of Kitale, Kenya hasn't done much since coming to El Paso on a track scholarship is run the outdoor version of the sport. She redshirted after making the trip from the Rift Valley to UTEP in 2018, ran outdoors in 2019 then lost last season to the COVID shutdown.
Now fit and ready to run fast, Chepokosgei can't wait to get on the track for what could be the first of two senior years.
