The source of the pervasive hope that surrounded the UTEP women's basketball team a year ago was obvious to pinpoint.
The Miners were vastly improved, they had good senior leadership, but at the same time, they were young in key places.
The Fantastic Four freshman class was making its mark, two of those freshmen were starting, and the thought of three more years of Franklin alum Katia Gallegos and El Paso native Avery Crouse was tantalizing.
Now, with the NCAA's decision to make this a free year in terms of eligibility, there is the possibility of four more years of Gallegos and Crouse.
