A positive COVID test and contact tracing in the UTEP basketball program has led to a "postponement" of the Miners' marquee game on their schedule, a Sunday showdown at Arizona.
Per UTEP, officials from the UTEP and Arizona athletic departments are discussing the potential rescheduling of the game.
Per Arizona, "the game will not be played."
UTEP had a successful 100-81 victory against UT-Permian Basin on Wednesday night.
The Miners are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, Dec. 3 against Arizona Christian at 7 p.m. mountain time in the Don Haskins Center.
