Sah-Jay Stevens has an adventurous streak in her, which has served the UTEP thrower well in the course of a track career marked by its variety.
Like so many Jamaican athletes, she began as a sprinter in a country known for that. She found her way to the javelin as a 10th grader, then added the shot put by the time she came to America and Johnson C. Smith University in North Carolina in 2018.
When she arrived at UTEP in 2020, Stevens added the weight throw and the hammer and by this spring, her final one as a Miner athlete, she'll add the discus back to her arsenal.
