The UTEP offense wasn't particularly distinguished last season, but it wasn't terrible and that represented a big step forward.
With 11 starters returning there is every reason to believe it can continue on a good trajectory, make another incremental step, and to that end coach Dana Dimel reached two decades into his past to reunite with Dave Warner, his new offensive coordinator.
This isn't a move about radical change, this was, is and will be Dimel's offense, but now Warner's job, starting this week with the start of spring football, is to help it take that next step.
