The UTEP women's basketball team lost another heartbreaker to Western Kentucky on Thursday at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The Miners rallied late, but fell, 62-59, in a battle for second-place in Conference USA. Western Kentucky improves to 16-12 overall and 13-6 in league play and UTEP falls to 19-9 overall and 12-7 in C-USA. Earlier this season in El Paso, WKU edged the Miners, 77-75.
UTEP trailed 57-48 in the fourth quarter, then rallied to tie the game at 57. After WKU went up 58-57 on a free throw, the Miners took their first lead of the game, 59-58, with 30 seconds remaining in the game on two free throws by Jazion Jackson.
