The longest, funnest season of Tobi Amusan's young life is swinging into its next phase.
Less than two weeks removed from a stunning silver medal finish in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track and Field Championships that earned her Conference USA women's track athlete of the year award, the UTEP freshman is priming herself for the World Junior Championships next month in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Amusan will enter that meet as a clear favorite, with the fastest wind-legal time by a wide margin, three of the four fast wind-legal races and a wind-aided mark that's even better.
