The UTEP women's basketball team lost for the second straight game on the road Thursday night, falling 83-75 to Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The Miners (3-2) lost a three-point game to Utah State on Sunday. Northern Arizona improves to 4-2.
NAU wins the fourth quarter
The Lumberjacks outscored the Miners, 21-17, in the final quarter but it was a 9-0 run which extended their lead from 70-67 to 79-67 that was the difference. At one point in the final 10 minutes, the Miners trailed 66-65.
Field goal percentage, free throws the difference
The Lumberjacks outshot the Miners in the second half, making 16 of 26 from the field, and UTEP was 15 of 38.
