The UTEP women's script was too familiar Saturday against Rice in Houston.
The Miners committed a spate of turnovers and fell behind big early against one of the best teams in Conference USA — and this time they weren't able to get back in the game, losing 76-42.
They were dominated on the boards 38-24, the most they've been outrebounded this year, shot just 33 percent, and finished with 16 turnovers after giving the ball away seven times in the first quarter.

"It wasn't pretty at all," said coach Kevin Baker, after his team fell to 4-12 overall, 1-2 in C-USA.
