UTEP shot a closing round 285 on Tuesday to win its third straight women's college golf tournament, taking the 41st annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
The Miners posted rounds of 290, 287 and 285 for a 54-hole total of two under par 862, three shots better than second-place South Florida at 865 and six shots better than third-place FIU at 868.
"The girls really played well," said UTEP coach Jere Pelletier. "This is pretty neat. It's never happened around here before. They are really managing their games well. They are learning course management so much better and they are just learning the game better.
