The UTEP women's basketball team presumably won't be able to walk on the edge of a cliff all season, but the Miners haven't fallen off yet.
For the second time in a week against rival New Mexico State, a Miners team that trailed most of the fourth quarter found a way to overtime. From there they survived 81-73 to go to 3-0 in a season where every game has been decided on the final possession of overtime or later.
New Mexico State, which led for all but a few seconds of regulation, fell to 1-2.
