FRISCO — The UTEP women's basketball team is full of answers to rescue itself when matters are not going well.
In the first half of a Conference USA tournament quarterfinal against Florida Atlantic, when the game was starting to tilt the wrong way, the Miners went to a page less used. Their 10th player, Tia Bradshaw, took a star turn.
Bradshaw's nine second-quarter points, four rebounds, an assist and a force turnover changed the momentum of the game and UTEP needed all of that in a 74-67 victory over a gritty FAU squad that outshot the Miners 51 to 41 percent.
