UTEP women bounce back, throttle UNLV

There are two areas where the UTEP women's basketball team will rarely run low in what could be a special season.

The Miners can play good defense, and when the offense lags, there are plenty of options to fix it.

In following up their worst outing of the year Friday with their best on Saturday, a 60-52 victory over UNLV that wasn't as close as the score, the fix-it options began the game sitting next to coach Keitha Adams.

Sparkle Taylor, Lulu McKinney and Najala Howell ended it as headliners, part of a 39-3 advantage UTEP had in bench scoring, as the Miners improved to 9-1.
