The UTEP women's basketball team needs to find a way to win in the final minutes. Bret Bloomquist/El Paso Times
The UTEP women shook up the script a little bit, but a fast start didn't mean the end of their losing streak as they fell to New Mexico 69-51 in Albuquerque.
After bolting to a 15-2 lead as part of their best quarter of the season, they trailed by halftime and the Lobos steadily pulled away. The loss was UTEP's sixth straight and the first of the streak to be by more than five points.
