Big-time college football is coming Saturday to Sun Bowl Stadium.
That’s usually something that happens on the last day of the year when the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl kicks off, but even that game typically does not feature the No. 18 (or No. 16, depending on the poll) team in the nation and it never has an unbeaten.
That, though, is what the 8-0 UTSA Roadrunners bring to town against the 6-2 UTEP Miners.
Here are some reasons El Pasoans should care.
This is good football
There are 61 FBS college football games this week and none of the others feature teams with better records than the 14-2 mark UTSA and UTEP combine for (8-0 Michigan State against 5-3 Purdue is next best).
