The UTEP football team managed to do some things it hasn't done in quite a while in a 17-13 victory over Abilene Christian on Saturday night.
In going to 2-1 for the first time since 2014, the Miners found a way to win a game where they lost the majority of plays because the defense created turnovers and the offense showed a sense of the moment.
That's a rare script in El Paso, and the fact that they trailed an FCS team in yardage (308-293) and possession all night raises some issues, but this isn't a program that looks sideways at a win of any kind.
