UTEP will finally bring its new look tennis program home.
The Miners, under new head coach Roberto Aspillaga, have gotten off to a respectable 3-4 start against a tough schedule and now they will play their first home match, taking on Abilene Christian Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Coronado Country Club.
This young UTEP squad has but one senior and they responded to their fall training by opening with three quick wins — first a 4-0 blanking of Northern Iowa, then a 4-3 win over Iowa State, then a 6-1 dusting of Central Oklahoma. They have since dropped matches to nationally ranked Arizona and Arizona State.
