UTEP star receiver Jacob Cowing entered the transfer portal on Tuesday just days after the program's first bowl appearance since 2014.
Cowing caught a team-best 69 passes for 1,354 yards and had seven touchdown catches for the 7-6 Miners, who lost 31-24 to Fresno State on Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Cowing, who is from Maricopa, Arizona, will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Cowing posted a statement on Twitter:
