UTEP standout Jenzel Nash indicted for bank fraud

Per the El Paso Times’ report, Jenzel Nash and six other individuals were indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on Wednesday, Jan. 25, on two counts of conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Nash had not played a game for the Miners in the 2016-17 season and was always said to be suspended indefinitely by the athletics department. She was entering her senior season this year after a monstrous junior season where she was named the 2016 All C-USA First-Team honoree and led the squad with 13.8 points per game.

The Times also revealed that the U.S. Attorney’s Office said that she and six others allefedly conspired to defraud 21 banks and credit unions throughout the nation through the usage of loans and lines of incorrect personal credit and income information.
