UTEP sets protocols for fans at home football games; no attendance limit announced

UTEP on Wednesday announced plans for fan attendance at home football games that include mask-wearing, ticketless transactions, a ban on tailgating and preprepared, packaged concessions.

The school, however, did not set a limit on how many fans will be allowed into games, starting with the Sept. 5 opener against Stephen F. Austin.

"We have spent the better part of the last few months analyzing our venue and, in coordination with our special events team, have formulated a plan that we believe will provide the safest experience possible for our fans,” UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter said in a statement.
