The UTEP football team is confident its secondary will be the strength of the team.
It led the way in the final 42 minutes against Stephen F. Austin in the opener, the Miners are counting on a strong performance there Saturday against Abilene Christian.
One reason they are counting on it is because they are spending this week fixing what went so wrong in the 59-3 loss to Texas. Against a team with superior speed and athleticism, the Miner secondary looked overmatched and that has to change against an Abilene Christian team rotating two veteran dual-threat quarterbacks.
