UTEP ran past FIU Saturday night in FIU Arena in Miami.
The Miners dumped the Panthers 90-76 to keep pace with Old Dominion in the race for third place in the Conference USA standings. UTEP, after its terrible 2-13 beginning, is now 13-15 overall and 11-5 in C-USA play. Old Dominion defeated Western Kentucky Saturday to improve to 11-5.
UTEP will face Old Dominion Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the Don Haskins Center.
The Miners once again had balanced scoring in their victory, their 11th win in their last 13 games and their fifth straight overall.
