UTEP rallies past New Mexico to go to 3-1

Maybe this UTEP team is different.

Showing resiliency rarely seen in the past 15 years of futility, the Miners rallied from a 10-point hole against shorthanded New Mexico with an explosive offense, a dominating defense and a sense of the moment for a 20-13 victory.

They finished their non-conference slate 3-1 because they played their best third quarter in years. Gavin Hardison rebounded from a miserable first half by engineering a string of big plays where he stood strong in the pocket, Jacob Cowing looked like one of the best receivers in America and Praise Amaewhule played up to his immense potential.
