The UTEP football team hasn't always been good at dealing with what little prosperity it comes across.
In a 38-28 victory against Bethune-Cookman that was on a knife's edge going into the fourth quarter, the Miners managed.
A touchdown-interception-touchdown sequence starting early in the fourth quarter enabled UTEP to break open a 17-14 game and finally pull away from a scrappy Wildcat team that punched above its weight until the Miners brought their superior numbers to bear.
UTEP went to 2-0 for the first time since 2005 and won its third straight home game for the first time since 2014.
